Hara is a sofa for residential use. A primarily domestic seating with the same degree of comfort offered by the automotive market, thanks to the employment of a mechanism that allows the setting, independently, of the seating and the backrest. The mechanism is managed by an electronic unit and works with a radio controlled remote. The whole system is completed with rechargeable batteries. Technological innovation, at the service of a minimal and detailed design, takes the sofa from being ‘static’ to ‘dynamic’ and able to satisfy the comfort needs of users which are by nature different one another.

Metrica – design Bruno Fattorini, Robin Rizzini

Design

Metrica elicits the process of design that must face constraints and incentives imposed by manufacturing process, the market and the client. All the projects are scheduled according to Gantt shared with the clients and based on the development of two phases.

The product concept phase produces mood boards, iconographic research and marketing analysis to challenge the company’s brief and to suggest the design outlines.

The design concept phase includes design routes and sketches, design development supported by renders and 3D design, and the final design supported by technical drawings.
